Description

2. Place the sharpener on a stable surface.
3. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Typically involves:
   • Inserting the heel of the knife blade vertically into the appropriate slot (often marked 'coarse' or 'sharpen').
   • Pulling the knife smoothly towards you through the slot from heel to tip, using light, consistent pressure.
   • Repeating this motion several times (e.g., 5-10 pulls).
   • Often includes a 'fine' or 'honing' slot for finishing the edge; repeat pulls through this slot.
4. Wipe the blade clean.
5. Note: While convenient, these sharpeners remove more metal than whetstones and may create a less refined edge. They fix the angle, which might not match the knife's original bevel.
